HP Z27k G3 4K USB-C Display 2021 Review
The HP Z27k G3 4K USB-C Display is a productivity-focused monitor with a range of features. It has an ergonomic design, more ports, and a full sRGB color Gamut.
Are you looking for a good productivity monitor? The HP Z27k G3 4K USB-C Display is a worthy consideration. It comes with powerful features, an ergonomic design, a wide range of ports, and accurate color. Its 27-inch screen is equipped with an IPS screen, 3840 x 2160p 4K UHD display, and up to 163 PPI densities.
With a 163 pixel density, this monitor is capable of producing sharper images, works well with very small text, graphics, complex diagrams, etc. It also displays accurate colors thanks to its full sRGB color gamut. And there are wide viewing angles.
The wide viewing angles reach up to 178 degrees on both its horizontal and vertical viewing. This means that colors remain true without posterization or shifting. Likewise, the frame is made from strong aluminum which is credited for the monitor’s ergonomic functionality.
You can adjust the height by 5.9 inches, tilt the panel by up to 20 degrees, or swivel the panel by 45 degrees in any direction. Moreover, you can pivot the monitor in either landscape or portrait mode. The monitor also features thin borders on all sides with narrow black bezels.
There’s also the mount option with the VESA mounting bracket. The monitor has a small joystick controller where you can view the menu. It’s easy to use the controller instead of the button-based system used in the majority of business monitors.
The HP Z27 comes with a lot of ports. These include an HDMI port, I/O connector, an ethernet port, and an upstream USB-C port with USB power delivery support. As for the ethernet port, it allows MAC address pass-through, and WoL, PXE Boot, and LAN/WAN switching.
It’s important to note that the LAN/WAN option will disable the Wi-Fi. This is particularly helpful in areas where there is low Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Z27 G3’s high color accuracy, full sRGB coverage, and 4K resolution are best for photo and graphics editing. Its ergonomic feature is an interesting feat. Unfortunately, its competition is doing the same thing.
Overall, this productivity monitor is as good as it claimed to be. However, there are other options that cost less. Fairly enough, the Z27 G3 has the easiest OSD navigation system thanks to its tiny controller. If the price drops, this monitor is an excellent option.
